Since 1989, the Emerald Coast Pro Golf Tour has provided venues, competition, and experience that allows players to develop and hone their skills to the point where they may attain the ultimate goal of making, competing, and succeeding on the PGA tour. Emerald Coast Pro Golf Tour offers players, sponsors, and spectators professional golf events that developmental golf has not yet seen. Congratulations to Bubba Watson, former Emerald Coast Tour Player, for his first PGA Tour win at the Travelers Classic.
The real objective of a competitive golf player should be to quality and perform well as part of an entertainment show for golf. To get there, players need low-cost tournament competitions, close to home, on championship golf courses. Prize awards should attract a few more accomplished tour golf players, to set the bar for less experienced players. True golfing athletes and competitors want to play their best, against the best. At EC pro golf tour, our objective is to expand the competition-based developmental tour golf program, making it accessible in terms of cost and logistics, to the most golf players. Emerald Coast Professional Golf Tour presents 25 annual tournaments, including 9 major Pro Am Tournaments. These events provide national exposure and recognition for our sponsors and players in regional markets throughout the Southeast and along the Emerald Coast.
